Keeping Brains Occupied. !!!

Probably my last post of this year.
People say "yr kuchh hai ni karne ko"
"bor ho raha hu"
"velhi hu yr nothing to do"
"waasup ? nothing much, u tell"
"hws life?? boring"

Come On people. Get a life.
start living life. It feels great.

When a person has nothing to do, his mind wanders and thinks about stuff that is futile and does not even matter. This causes people to get a negative factor about life.
Instead, get an optimistic thinking about everything.

"wassup ? LIVING LIFE".
"sitting idle and DREAMING"
"hws life ? AWESOME"
"yr bohot kuchh hai karne ko ".

Stop criticizing things and catch the good points of everything.

Authentic happiness isn't something we can go out and get, buy, beg, borrow or steal, its only something that we can be,and its a choice we make at every step we move and every breadth we take.

People think that if they try something new , it would be a mistake and that some one will get hurt or their effort will go waste. But if u want to confirm and test whether ur decision was a mistake or  not then you HAVE TO DO THAT THING and the result will be out.
If it was a mistake then dont do that again and if not, then u just enjoyed taking risk.

There is no such thing known as regret or guilt. These are just some socially criticizing words made by the society.
There are some of the ways of living life freely.

1. Realize that it’s okay to make mistakes. Just make sure to learn from your past mistakes, forgive yourself and move on.

2. Make your health and wellness a top priority and always take care of yourself so you’re ready to take care of others.

3. Follow your own path—not one that others want you to follow.

4. Find the humor in life and laugh like there is no tomorrow.

5. Relax and move with the flow of life by being unafraid of change.

6. Be adventurous by trying new things and taking more risks.

7. Share your happiness with others instead of hoarding it all for yourself.

8. Try to find happiness with as many different people as you can.

9. Think for yourself instead of letting other people’s opinions influence you too much.

10.Try not to judge people before you get to know them.

11.Love your work. If you don’t currently love what you do, figure out what you would love, and take the first step toward that life.

12. Dont be a confused mass of protoplasm . Be firm on your decisions.

13. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *you know what u are bad at. so think for yourself.*

I am inspired by Abhijit Singh (senti) and Mannila Sandhu (shin chan) in the field of living life.
Think over the stuff and implement it in your life. See the change.
enjoy !!

And i wish everyone a very happy and a prosperous new year.

The 'M' Factor !

Allot might have happened in a past few days but one thing was out of the box.

*Please note the words and the lines with the strike off formatting.*

Mannila Sandhu (shin chan) made an extraordinary impact on our brains. She is a classmate to laala and a hostel mate to naina and surbhi. During the college fest, she used to wander everywhere like a nomad always accompanied with 1 or 2 guys, one being her bf. I didnt even know her name or that even she existed untill laala started noticing her and called her his new crush (no big deal coz every second girl is his crush).

She came to our rehearsals while free times and was quite impressed with the drumming (there is no one who will not get impressed by laala's drumming.), guitar and for that fact even the flute.
She also participated in the fashion show. But whenever i saw her, she used to be seated either on stairs or in the park or anywhere other than the class.
She had an attitude which most of the people call a ' diva' kind of attitude.

Due to the patiala effect, all the guys used to try to talk to her . Yes she was pretty but over friendly, over confident, over smart and very little modest.

I  came to know her over the two thapar nights. She on the whole, herself brought an apocalypse inside my head regarding her nature.

*All the lines with the strike off formatting became FALSE.*

She is pretty,
she is sensible,
she is intelligent, friendly, FRANK, modest, respectful etc. etc.
Her attitude is not the "diva" style, rather it is "confident of myself" style.
She is nice to talk to, good listener, even a good talker.
She stays in her limits and this makes an effect on others in her surroundings to stay in there limits.

She is an awesome beautiful chick with a brain smarter than it looks and she knows what she is doing and does everything confidently.
I have always chosen my friends wisely. The people who have been my good friends ever since my kindergarten class are still my friends and i still hang out with them.

Shin chan is a great person.

 She became my best friend
She is worthy of it.
Its my pleasuure as well.

ANU's Birthday !

After the fest and the AIESEC thing, a series of boring stuff happened.
my illness, college exams, etc.etc.

Anubhav Solankey (dabba) is a friend from the chandigarh group. His birthday was on 17th Nov and we planned something exciting.
we planned a treasure hunt around his locality which we thought of playing at midnight in order to make him busy and also have some fun.
Senti made chits on which various clues were written.
We left our houses and gathered at laala house.
At 11:45 we left for Anu's house in 35 sector just behind the main market.

The Treasure Hunt.

The first clue was to be placed on his gate in order to call him outside and proceed with the planned program. Accomplished. and he followed that.

The second clue was to be placed at a pole near his house to take him to the third clue. Accomplished. But Dabba did not follow it and went directly to the main market.

I was trying to find him and he saw me and came directly to me. He opened the window and asked for lift (cleaver). As he opened his mouth for saying "Hello", i just sprayed the snow spray inside his mouth and all over his face. (better.). I told him to follow the other clues.

We handed over the next clue to the security guard of Orange Hotel. He followed that up.
We ran and kept the next clue with the KFC workers. He came there too.
We reached McD and waited for him there.

as soon as he stepped outside his car, Senti and laala with pastries in their hand rubbed them all over his eyes, nose, sweatshirt, ears, hands and every visible place on his body. (AWESOME).

We had a really great sleepover at his place that day.
I just wish for more such days. or maybe nights actually. !
Love my friends.

Enjoying Life. !!

4. Personal interview 2-  They asked me various things, and weird things and things about my life and my likes and dislikes. I made myself very transparent in front of them. they made it very clear that i have been selected. The next question they asked me was my schedule. I clearly mentioned about me living in patiala for 5 days and 2 days in chandigarh.

"how can u work for AIESEC chandigarh while u live in patiala ?"
They had a point. And i was rejected.
I was handed over the contact number of the Aiesec extensions head to incorporate me in aiesec patiala but that was the later story. I WAS REJECTED.

After clearing all the things i was rejected.
I felt Dejected.

No problem. there are so many things to life other than rejection.

COLLEGE FEST

We started rehearsing. We had to decide the songs which we were to cover in our performance.
And the biggest problem was the songs should be such that they could incorporate a flute in them.
Pani Da Rang, Aadat were the ones which had flute and Rock On! for ending.
We rehearsed everyday in the first room of out new college building. All our classmates gathered around us everyday. It felt so nice to be admired and respected for what we were doing.
We made new friends as the people from our classes whom we didnt know came to see our jamming.

Guys came and we repeated rock on again and again. Girls came and we started with aadat and pani da rang.
Naina. Mayank and  surbhi in all time support for us. Helping us allot and suggesting things.
Divneet and her friends came and we played aadat and pani da rang. They liked it. *proud of myself*
Girls from jaskaran's class came and he showcased his drumming talent. *he is AWESOME*.

This thing carried on for one week until our final performance. Learnt allot about music from jaskaran and made good impression on many people.
The performance went OKAYISH.

But i seriously thank jaskaran for giving me my first break. Flutist was not required for any of the songs. He purposely added those songs so that i could get to perform and showcase my talent. I screwed up a few things too but HATS OFF to him. I love him.

College Fest and other things !!

Life seams interesting now.
i got new friends and people to hang out with.
People are good. Environment is great too.
The thing which was eagerly waited for is really happening.

CRISPOLATIEIA - our college fest to be held on 12th october to 14th october 2012.

This was the thing going on in college. everyone was talking about 'the fest'. The effect of this rush and excitement had an effect on the teaching. Students started bunking classes, couples were formed, time was being wasted, BUT, everybody was enjoying the situation.
A total of 65 events were to be held in the fest. 65 is a huge no. considering a fact that this is Punjabi University , Patiala and each and everything was organised by the third and fourth year students only.
Faculty was involved was minimum and that too just for official signatures and giving permissions.

It was systematic. Various departments were assigned to various seniors. Planning, Publicity, Organizing, conducting, Ushering, and OFFCourse 'the participants'.

Going through the list of events, i shortlisted 10 events which sounded interesting and requiring less academic knowledge. Lan gaming, treasure hunt, Radio jockey, Word war, Business idea, Lord of the strings, etc.

Laala being an excellent drummer of his band Curse and a music freak was immediately attracted to The LORD OF THE STRINGS- the inter college rock band competition to be held in this fest.
We were definitely very charged up for this thing and started looking for our band members.

I created a printout an put that up on the college notice board ."Required vocalist, guitarist, keyboard player. etc etc."
We got very low response.
Demoralized and disheartened we gave a thought over it and again started looking for people. We found two guitarists in my class, a singer and two more guitarists in other classes.
The band was formed.
"7 strings" consisted of
Jaskaran singh -drummer
Ankit Pal singh- Flutist
Aspaan Singh- lead guitarist.
Paras Bhatia- guitarist.
Raman - female vocalist
Amandeep- male vocalist.
We started rehearsing. and rehearsing and many things happened. !

                                                                  ON THE OTHER HAND

on the other hand, i was attracted to AIESEC - and international organisation looking forward for international cultural and technical exchange.

I had been following this organisation for so long and finally applied for membership.
I got a call for recruitment.

1. Group Discussion. - a debatable topic was given in the group of 10 people to express their reviews and debate with each other. It lasted 20 mins .only 4 cleared. me included.

2. Team Activity- A weird topic was given and we formed two teams of 7 members each. we had to make a project on a Condom Manufacturing Company including its finance, promotions, raw material, sales, and everything about a company. There was a debate in the team members itself about who being the team leader. I manipulated and became a leader. out of 14, 4 got selected, i being one.

3. Personal Interview 1- Two of the Aiesecers asking me questions about me, my life and why i should be included in aiesec. Some unprofessional questions also included. Interview lasted 15 mins. Got selected.

4. Personal Interview 2- *An interesting thing.*

This guy is cool to hang out with. Hes from chandigarh and lives in my pg. He has his yamaha r15 here and enjoys life.

Jaskaran Singh (laala)

Naina Nijher (Nijher)
She is the same as she used to be in class 6,7,8,9,10. Self concerned, self obsessed and a bit of an attention seeker. She has her own life. She is a friend because of old times and same college. nothing more. she has degraded herself.

Surbhi Saini(paplu)
awesome girl. best person to talk to. a patient listener, good adviser, and really really good friend. She is weet and enjoys life.

A month in my college.

where the hell am i.
i dont deserve to be here.
i deserve better.
but i cant govern my life by myself. its God who plays with the toys he made.
People here are so narrow minded that no one even is even concerned about what the hell is happening inside there own class or even inside their own college. i dont like my college. i dont like this city,
i dont like the people here. i dont like the environment here.
I just need an excuse to come home. i want to get away from these people and this college.

guys in my class are worlds greatest attention seekers. they start singing or banding the tables or doing whatsoever anything takes to seek attention from girls. Sometimes thats irritating. Girls in my class are conservative. A guy comes and sits next to a girl and she moves to another bench.
But there are a few people who i see as ok guys. Call it the Chandigarh effect or maybe my idiotic attitude but the people who are from chandigarh in my class are far better and cooler than the patiala people.

The teaching in the college is surprisingly satisfactory. Teachers teach in english and scold in punjabi. All teachers are either doing Ph.d or have already done Ph.d.
the way of teaching is similar to any engineering college in india. Plenty of assignments to keep our brains and free time occupied.
Workshop is awesome. Labs are good. classrooms are good. corridor is fine. Architecture of the building is good too.

I have not been allotted the hostel yet. Have been living with laala at his brother's place near the university.
daily searching for a paying guest. Found so many PG's around the university but some were far, some were costly, some were ugly, some were too close.
finally we settled in one of them.
its 1.5 kms from the university gate and total 2.5 kms from our college. But its good and the 8 guys living in the pg already are from same college , same year and 3 from chandigarh itself. so its fine.

Food was the next problem. we ate food in the famous GOL MARKET for a few weeks. But late opened an account in the UCoE boys hostel mess. The food is not very good but yes better than other areas.

It has been few months in college and finally i found the people worth talking to. !!

orientation day. day 0

today my college began officially and thank god finally.
well its was an exciting day after so many boring holidays.
woke up in the morning at 5:30 at once. got ready and as it was planned by senti, laala and me that we'l catch the bus before 7.
i was ready and called laala and that asshole asked me to wait 10 mins as he just started tying his turban.
pissed i was and mom and dad dropped me to laala house. on the way i called senti. that idiot said that he will be a little late .
well what can a person do if his 2 best friends are as lazy as a snail.
we were seated in the bus by 7:30.
laala and i were to get off the bus at the punjabi university gate.
we bid senti good bye and started walking towards UCOE (university college of engineering).
scorching heat of the sun and such a long 1.5 km walk was tiring.
ucoe building.

we say the crowd in front of the college entrance and we were scared.
we entered through the small side entry which benefited us allot from the noises and rush.
i saw naina standing in the crowd.
we met and she told me that nothing has started yet.
i saw shikha ma'am (naina's mother) standing outside and greeted her.
acknowledging our room nos we stood in the balcony on the first floor from where the crowd was visible and we could see every person.
waiting for our classes to begin we just fidgeted here and there.
three of us were separated and in our own class rooms and the classes began at 10:30.

a healthy, dark and tall male lecturer and a lady teacher entered the room and greeted us.
ma'am started writing the time table on the board and sir took our attendance.
both of them told us the rules and regulations of the college turn by turn.
i along with 30-40 ece, me, cse, students nodded my head.
we were informed about the syllabus, exams, practicals, attendance rules, clubs, library , ragging etc.
the lecture finished with the words that the real classes will start from Tuesday 21st august.
whispering of students began and the teachers went out.

i texted laala and naina to meet me at the place we stood earlier.
laala and i had decided that we'l go to the library, meet the hostel warden, meet the dean for the bus pass but lazy laala postponed all the plans to Tuesday and we came back home with a friend which saved us time, money and walking in hot weather.

i came to my sector and went to the polka cake shop and bought a small chocolate cake as a surprise for my parents' marriage anniversary. They loved it.

hope i enjoy the college life.
